We have therefore extended the range to offer products in all these product areas. The presence of these products will increase our shelf space aiding brand recall, influencing customer buying patterns and ensuring that PZ Cussons increases its hair care market share.

Q. Is it necessary to follow all 4 stages?
A. For best results it does help to follow the four stages for Fortify, Radiance and Solutions. Each stage plays a different role in achieving the end desired result:
Stage 1 Relax - to relax and straighten the hair so that the hair can be styled as wanted.
Stage 2 Cleanse - shampooing with the right shampoo will help to remove dirt, oil, debris and styling products that can clog up hair follicles. It is important to note that after relaxing a neutralising shampoo is required to remove the entire relaxer chemicals & residue from the hair with a gentle cleansing action. Stage 3 Treat - conditions the hair. Afro hair tends to be dry. Good conditioners/conditioning treatments such as in the Venus range of products will help to make the hair stronger, restore moisture and assist in preventing future damage. Conditioners cannot repair severely damaged hair but they will help to prevent the hair from getting worse. Conditioners also prepare the hair for styling products and styling methods used such as blow-drying, wrapping and using curling tongs to name but a few.

If hair shine is needed, then the Radiance range would be ideal. The Venus Radiance Range offers additional products such as the Moisture Infusion Sculpting Gel and the Moisture Infusion Curl Enhancer Gel which are not available under the Venus Fortify or Venus Solutions ranges.

Q. Who should use Venus Solutions After Care?
A. Venus Solutions After Care is aimed at women who experience itchy scalp and flaking problems. As Venus is now a brand with three ranges, women should ideally use the Venus Fortify Relaxers before using the Solutions After Care and Styling products to get the best results.
Q. Is it okay to use the Venus Fortify Relaxers for Stage 1 and then the Venus Solutions After Care and Styling products for Stages 2 - 4?
A. The Venus Fortify Lye and No Lye Relaxers are suitable for all hair types but processing time depends on hair type. As flaking and itchy scalps need particular attention we would suggest that ideally women who experience these problems use Stages 2 - 4 i.e. Neutralise (Cleanse) first then, Treat and Style from the Solutions range.
Q. Why are there no products for weaved/braided hair?

Women who want to weave/braid their hair or even wear wigs will be able to use the Venus Fortify Relaxers as the first stage of their hair styling and the whole range of Venus Solutions products can be used for dry, flaky, itchy scalps which is common for braided and weaved hair, Venus Radiance Moisture Infusion Hair Lotion can be used for weaved / braided hair to provide sheen and gloss.
